I have used various Paula's Choice products for years, but surprisingly had never used either one of these two, even though they are some of the brand's bestsellers. I already use so many different serums and exfoliants so I was trying to figure out how best to incorporate these into my routine. It is recommended to cleanse, tone, then use either the AHA OR the BHA in the morning and then alternate with the other at night...once you get used to the product and are sure your skin can tolerate it. I went right into it because my skin is used to these kinds of products and after pouring a little onto my favorite cotton squares, I saw immediate improvement in texture, smoothness, brightness without any irritation to my dry, sensitive skin. These are both excellent, top-notch exfoliants and I like the idea of alternating morning and night between the two.Mandelic acid is derived from bitter almonds and most dermatologists say it is safe for people with sensitivities to nuts, but please use caution and do a patch test first just to be sure. This is a small little set, tiny travel sized bottles, but they should last at least a couple of weeks I hope. These are both great products that are absolutely worth trying because they really do smooth out and brighten up the skin.

This is a nice little kit that includes both BHA and AHA exfoliants in compact bottles. Paula’s Choice makes quality products at an affordable price and this fits well with their other products. After a week I’ve seen minimal change but have noticed a slight difference in the blackheads around my nose. If you have sensitive skin use sparingly as this has salicylic acid. It is recommended to use every other day to start off to acclimate your skin. It’s often hard for me to use products in the morning so I’ve been using one every other night (may be the reason for only slight improvement after a week). I like that the bottles only allow a little bit to come out at once so you are not wasting product.

Many people have heard the wonders about chemical exfoliants but many people are hesitant to try them since a reputable brand such as Paula's Choice can run you from 50 to 100 dollars for a full size bottle which is honestly a huge investment if you've never tried chemical exfoliation before. This is a great trial product that allows you to test the product without full commitment. For me this product does wonders for my skin and does a great job at exfoliating, however I have been using chemical exfoliation for awhile so my skin has adjusted to it. I think many people that try this product should patch this product prior to using it on their face to see if they're sensitive to it first or only using a little and applying it.

my skin is super sensitive and this product was good the first 3 or 4 days. after that my skin was so read and itchy. Even after i suspend the product my skin took a few days to recuperate. I would not recommended for sensitive skin.

I am a big fan of all of the skin acids! Every year during the fall and winter, I do at-home TCA peels, and mandelic acid is one of the acids I use between major peels to help with pigmentation and tone. The mandelic bottle also contains lactic acid, which can have hydrating properties.For both of these products, you want to start off slow, using the products every other day until you feel comfortable using them more often, especially if your skin is new to acids or is sensitive.My skin feels really smooth after using these, and I love that it helps prep my skin’s surface for serums, etc. by helping to remove dead skin, etc.

I love the BHA exfoliant and wanted to try the other so I thought this would be a good way to get both. These bottles are COMICALLY small for the price. I would just buy each independently. These at $12 and oz…

This is a great set if you like acid options. Sometimes I need the bha but sometimes I need the more gentle mandelic acid and lactic. Having the option to use either depending on the day and the need is great. This works on my skin without disrupting my skin barrier.

Paula's Choice Exfoliation Kit, 2% BHA Liquid & 6% Mandelic Lactic Acid AHA Exfoliants, for Clogged pores: It is very liquid and is a bit hard to get out of the bottle. You have to turn upside down and let it drop out. You cannot squeeze the container. Even though it is an exfoliation product, you just put it on your face and leave it.
