Because the Strella Lab Vet Strength Probiotic Treats are made in the United States where strict food regulations are in place, I felt comfortable ordering this product for my elderly dog to consume at those times when he experiences digestive upset. Once I received the product, I studied the information printed on the product label, and it increased my confidence in the product's safety both for what it does and does not contain. They're not vitamins, they're just treats. My dogs beg for these more than anything else which has been great. For a little bit, both (11yo chihuahua, 9yo staffy) had some stomach issues while trying a new food brand and a few of these got them regulated in a day or so.

My little dog looks forward to getting her Probiotics Treat every night. She hears me shake the container and sits up and takes notice. While it is hard to know how well they are working, I trust that they are giving her what her little tummy needs. She has a sensitive tummy, and this has not upset it at all.

My niece’s Golden Retriever tends to lick and chew her paws. Niece resorts to put a cone or a muzzle on her. I received a call asking me to pick up some Probiotics. She saw a video saying it is allergy and Probiotics could help. I was asked to pick it up as she is not in the States and I am going visit her in a few days.This task is not as simple as it sounds, she told me that her dog cannot eat chicken and lamb due to stomach issues. That means, I have to read all the labels carefully before I get it. I rather order this from Bolo than going into a Pet Supply Store. At home, I could glance over the label much easier on a computer than standing in the aisle in the store trying to read the fine print.So, I only check the Probiotic without the word chicken or lamb. I picked this as it said Beef Liver. Checking further, I found out this is “Beef Free, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Egg Free, Soy Free”. The ingredients have not mention of Chicken. I should be fine.After receiving this, I read the ingredients are most if not all veggie. If Bone Broth does not count as a meat product, then there is no meat. This Probiotics also includes Prebiotics. Frankly, I have no idea what that means until I did some research.Following information is from Mayo Clinic: -“Probiotics are foods or supplements that contain live microorganisms intended to maintain or improve the "good" bacteria (normal microflora) in the body. Prebiotics are foods (typically high-fiber foods) that act as food for human microflora. Prebiotics are used with the intention of improving the balance of these microorganisms.Probiotics are in foods such as yogurt and sauerkraut. Prebiotics are in foods such as whole grains, bananas, greens, onions, garlic, soybeans and artichokes. In addition, probiotics and prebiotics are added to some foods and available as dietary supplements…”I am heading to her in a few days. I will be there for about a month. I’ll update this review again. Since this product meets my niece’s request, I’ll give it 4 stars for the time being.

I have 3 senior dogs with health issues and are on different medications, probiotics help them, I have discovered. These StrellaLab Probiotics and Enzymes for dogs do seem to help with their intermittent tummy upsets. They all love the flavor, I have beef liver variety and they look forward to their treat after meals. These are nice, soft chews, no strong odors, they are soft yet not crumbly, they stay together very well. We’ve been using them a little over a week now and all seems to be performing, so I am pleased with the contents and so are my pups.
