Uni-Ball makes, in my experience, the best gel pens. The Zento pens are fairly new and this is my first experience with them. Overall, this is an awesome addition to Uni-Ball's lineup. If you are looking for retractable, refillable, stylish pen, I recommend giving these a shot. They fill a slightly different role than the more common models.The Zento feels incredibly smooth. It provides enough feedback to allow precise control but moves like it is floating. Writing and doodling is enormously satisfying, enough that I already swapped out one of my daily drivers (207 +) The liquid ink flows easily and dries nearly instantly.The design itself is minimalist. The white color is more unique looking than I expected, it stands out more than the Salmon-ish colored one, surprisingly. The clip is metal and seems like it will be more durable than the plastic clips on some of the other models.The only negative about this is that the "Black" ink in this Zento model does not dry as dark as the "Bordeaux Black" in the One lineup. Minor complaint but if that is the single-issue that drives your ink pen purchases, you may have to stick with the One models.

These pens have a nice rubberized outer coating that provides a comfortable grip. The clip is spring loaded, a nice touch I've never seen before. The ink flows smoothly and the pens write beautifully.Remember to take the little nibs off the tips before you try to write with them. This is another feature I've never come across - I assume to preserve the freshness of the ink at the tip. My wife had to point this out to her dummy husband as I attempted to scribble without success. Once removed, they wrote instantly. Lovely pens!
